Xarelto, Internal Bleeding & MDL 2592 case documents what many xarelto prescription drug users may be experiencing today – potential internal bleeding from the use of xarelto that could result in serious injuries or even death.  The JPML ruled: MDL 2592 setup in Louisiana.

A brief summary of the facts include:

  • IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the actions listed on Schedule A and pending outside the Eastern District of Louisiana are transferred to the Eastern District of Louisiana and, with the consent of that court, assigned to the Honorable Eldon E. Fallon for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings with the actions pending there.
  • IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that MDL No. 2592 is renamed In re: Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) Products Liability Litigation.

The latest Xarelto news revolves around the proposed expansion of the drug for some additional problems by Johnson & Johnson and Bayer. Xarelto, manufactured by Janssen Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, has been widely prescribed. But, there may be some problems that may be associated with the use of Xarelto (Rivaroxaban). These problems may include:

  • gastrointestinal and cerebral hemorrhaging or bleeding
  • internal bleeding
  • heart attack
  • intracranial bleeding
  • and death.
