- Scientists estimate that smoking plays a role in 90 percent of lung cancer deaths
- Her claim for of cancer from second hand asbestos exposure is that when she was young, her father and her brother worked as boiler makers
- She came into contact with asbestos dust because they all lived under the same roof and believes she got cancer from second hand asbestos exposure
- In addition, she believes she got cancer from second hand asbestos exposure from visiting and picking up her father and brother at the various work sites, including Navy Yards, Bridges, Hospitals, Schools, Powerhouses, and other sites where she would breath the asbestos dust
