According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), General Motors notified the agency “that it has determined that a defect [ignition switch recall], which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists” in the recalled vehicles. It appears that GM has recalled over 1.5 million vehicles.
The full list of recalled vehicles includes:
- 2003-2007 Saturn Ion
- 2005-2007 Chevrolet Cobalt
- 2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR
- 2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice
- 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuit
- 2007 Pontiac G5
- 2007 Saturn Sky
