Baby Monitor Recall


A baby monitor recall – Angelcare Monitors Inc., of Quebec, Canada is recalling 600,000 Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitors with Sensor Pads.  According to the CPSC, the monitor’s sensor pad 11 foot cord poses a strangulation risk if the cord becomes wrapped around the neck of the baby.   See CNN for more.

The Angelcare sensor monitors (baby monitor recall) that did not come with the rigid cord covers, including numbers:

  1. AC1100
  2. AC201
  3. AC300
  4. AC401 and
  5. 49255
  • The model numbers are located on the back of the baby monitor unit and were made between 1999 and 2013.
  • If you have an issue and think you might have a monitor that is part of the baby monitor recall, immediately contact Angelcare toll-free at (855) 355-2643 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m or visit the website at www.angelcarebaby.com.
  • According to the CPSC, there have been mulitple deaths from baby monitors – CPSC announced in 2011.
